After a day of refreshing fun, Day 4 brought the campers back into the thrilling world of robotics — this time with a deeper focus on mechanics, control, and friendly competition. The day began with an exciting robotics workshop where students revisited their LEGO EV3 bots — but this time, with a mission: to explore gears and understand how mechanical advantage works. From increasing power to enhancing speed, students learned how changing gear combinations could directly affect a robot's performance. Instructors explained how gear ratios impact torque and speed, helping the students not just build, but engineer their bots like real-world roboticists. The hands-on gear experiments sparked both excitement and critical thinking. To put their new knowledge into action, students took part in a Slope Climbing Competition. They tested how well their bots could climb steep inclines using enhanced torque and carefully adjusted balance. Watching young minds fine-tune their robots and cheer each other on was a true highlight of the day. In the second phase, it was all about speed! The camp hosted a Speed Racing Competition, where students modified their robots for maximum acceleration and control. The thrill of racing, combined with the technical pride of seeing their bots zoom forward, created a charged and joyful atmosphere. Day 4 wasn't just another robotics session—it was a lesson in real-time problem solving, engineering creativity, and teamwork. With competitions that were as fun as they were educational, the students walked away with not only enhanced robots but stronger confidence in their abilities.Gearing Up for Real Engineering
